Adelante Mujer’s Many Kinds of Donors

Adelante Mujer is blessed by so many good people who contribute in so many different ways. They are donors of money without whom we could not exist. They are benefactors who donate time and labor and expertise like our web developer James Sharp from Glendale Designs and our Board of Directors whose services are totally uncompensated.  The Sisters of St. Agnes surely belong to our list of blessings because they allow us to use an office with all its amenities.

Recently the National Catholic Reporter provided nationwide exposure by its beautifully written article about Adelante Mujer. Organizations in Fond du Lac allow Sister Ann and me to give presentations to introduce potential donors to the ministry so significant to young women in Nicaragua who need financial assistance to attend the medical school in their area. There are volunteers who assist with mailings and with translating. And, without a doubt, Adelante Mujer is blessed by all the people who extend their good wishes and prayers to us and to the students in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. We gratefully acknowledge how blessed we are by all the people who help us help the future medical doctors in eastern Nicaragua where the need is so dire.

This month Adelante Mujer was graced with a special benefactor. For the first time Adelante Mujer has a designated Sister of St. Agnes whose “Prayer Ministry” is for Adelante Mujer Student Doctors and Board of Directors.  How special is that!

When Sister Stella Marie, CSA recently retired to Nazareth Center she was asked to take Adelante Mujer as her new prayer ministry. She happily embraced the invitation and, of course, we are thrilled to embrace her. Welcome, Sister Stella Marie! Your prayer will help to link our endeavors to God’s intent that we assist each other on this Earth in any way we are able. Some donate money, some contribute time and expertise, some accommodate the need for office space. Others love and pray for the success of Adelante Mujer. For each and all, we are eternally grateful. Without all kinds of donors, Adelante Mujer could not and would not exist.
