Become a Donor

Donations to Adelante Mujer come from as far away as Singapore. Why do people give to Adelante Mujer? Clearly, for many reasons. Some want their gift to make a real difference in the lives of the poor. Nicaragua is second only to Haiti in poverty. Aware that Nicaraguans on the East Coast have only one doctor for approximately 9,000 persons is a very convincing statistic that their donation, large or small, will be a big help to those who are studying to become medical doctors.

Marie wrote:  “When I saw the work that Adelante Mujer does to financially assist women to become medical doctors in Nicaragua to serve the poorest of the poor, I had to support this mission.  The women accepted into the program are among these poor who would not otherwise have funds needed to become medical doctors and serve their own people.  My donation helps not only the women in the program, it also extends to the many who would not otherwise have anyone to serve their medical needs.”

Don said:  “Our family wanted to make a donation in memory of my late wife. She loved children and youth and I’m certain that she is smiling down on us, knowing we are helping these young women in her name.”

Pat stated:  “It is a privilege to support Adelante Mujer because of the far reaching benefits of every donation. With Adelante Mujer, a donor sees a “big bang for the buck.” Eighty percent of every dollar directly benefits a med student, and $1500 supports a med student for an entire year. Additionally, upon graduation every Adelante Mujer student enters the healing ministry of Christ, serving those who live in the most dire circumstances.”

Mike’s words: “I believe that good and affordable healthcare should be available to everyone. Adelante Mujer is making that happen in Nicaragua by supporting the education of new doctors there. Donating to Adelante Mujer is a way for me to engage in that vital ministry from where I live in Memphis, TN.”
