These joyful words were recently shared by an Adelante Mujer student as she and her classmates began their fourth year of medical school.
Their photograph represents years of hard work, challenging clinical experiences, personal sacrifice, and the generosity of donors who believed these women deserved the opportunity to become doctors.

Eighteen women are waiting
Today, 18 more young women are waiting for the opportunity to pursue a medical education. Each is ready to work hard, serve her community, and create a more hopeful future.
We want to welcome every one of them into Adelante Mujer—but we need your help.
At Adelante Mujer, we never accept a student until we have secured enough money to fund her entire five-year medical education. The full commitment is approximately $8,250 per student.
This policy reflects our responsibility to our students and donors. We never want to tell a young woman she can begin medical school without knowing whether we can help her finish. Before we say yes, we ensure her funding is safely in place.
It is careful stewardship of every donated dollar—and a promise of stability to every student who entrusts her future to us.

To move all 18 women from the waiting list into the program, we need to raise $148,500.
That number may feel enormous, but no one has to fund it alone. Every donation moves another future doctor closer to hearing the words, “You have been accepted into Adelante Mujer.”
When a woman becomes a doctor, the impact extends far beyond her. She can support her family, care for patients, strengthen her community, and inspire younger girls to imagine new possibilities for their own lives.
More women receiving higher education means more women becoming doctors—and healthier, stronger communities for generations to come.
