We often write about our new Adelante Mujer doctors and our current medical students. This blog is devoted to donors and future donors. To YOU!

Adelante Mujer Students at Work
Fifth-year student Marianna wrote and sent us this photo:
I was able to help out in the maternity room at the Nancy Bach New Dawn Hospital where we offer care to all the mothers in the room for the newborn. We talked about child care, also how to look out for dangerous signs of an infant and the benefits of breast feeding, especially the first six months of the baby’s life.
My First Trip: Bilwi/Puerto Cabezas
After joining the Board of Directors of Adelante Mujer in July 2016 I made my first visit to the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, the second poorest region in the Western Hemisphere, in December. I was thrilled to be able to travel to Bilwi/Puerto Cabezas, with Sister Diane Bauknecht, where we attended the graduation of nine (one not pictured) new Adelante Mujer Doctors.
Announcement: Nine New Adelante Mujer Doctors
Congratulations to Adelante Mujer Doctors: Yeritza, Lidicy, Natalia, Jomarie, Keila, Kira, Elisa del Carmen, Rosa, and to Kathlen who is not in the photo.
We have really good news to share. As of December 5, 2016, Adelante Mujer, with every single one of our donors, can celebrate another milestone of success and joy. To Be a Donor or Not to Be
If you are a donor and wonder if your gift is appreciated, you will find your answer below.
If you aren’t a donor and wonder if anyone will appreciate your contribution, please continue reading. These are just a sample of notes we received from our grateful medical students.
Adelante Mujer’s Many Kinds of Donors
Adelante Mujer is blessed by so many good people who contribute in so many different ways. They are donors of money without whom we could not exist. They are benefactors who donate time and labor and expertise like our web developer James Sharp from Glendale Designs and our Board of Directors whose services are totally uncompensated. The Sisters of St. Agnes surely belong to our list of blessings because they allow us to use an office with all its amenities.
New Doctor Meets Veteran CSA Midwife
You cannot imagine the joy and excitement when these photos arrived. During a medical mission trip on the Rio Coco (Coconut River) between the Central American countries of Nicaragua and Honduras, two wonderful people.
Glendale Designs – Giving Back
We have a guest writer for our blog, a generous friend of Adelante Mujer.
In late October of 2011 Sister Ann contacted us via phone to discuss a brochure she needed us to design. We met in our office the following week to discuss the details and our journey with Adelante Mujer began.
River Riding Doctor
Before there was an Adelante Mujer, Sister Ann heard about an excellent medical student of URACCAN University who was struggling to pay her tuition. Sister Ann went to the university bursar, askedfor Ana’s bills, and paid the meager amount that Ana had charged in the hope that someday, somehow she could pay. Sister delivered the receipt to Ana at her home and promised Ana that when she returned to the US she would look for donors to help finance her medical education.
Fulfilling Doctor Dreams
